is the host of The Big Fat Wide Americana Hour, an internet radio show featuring diverse styles of American music.
The show offers a variety of related genres, including blues, soul, country, contemporary folk, Americana, doo-wop, jazz, and more. It has drawn listeners from around the world.

In addition, Spenser wrote the six-book Humano Morphs series, geared to the same age group.
The first seven books in the Shivers series -- The Enchanted Attic, A Ghastly Shade of Green, Ghost Writer, The Animal Rebellion, The locked room, The Haunting House and The Awful Apple Orchard -- were republished as e-books starting from 2011, with the other books in the series to follow.
